Using Google Alerts To Track Your Child

Tweet This Post

Yes! It's true. Google has a means to send you notification via email when your child's name (or other identifying information) is discovered by the Google Bots (you know, search engine spiders).

It's easy as pie to do.

To sign up, go to: http://www.google.com/alerts. It's easy. Simply follow the instructions. Be sure and use quotations (" ") to limit the searches. For example for my name, I signed up by typing "allyn evans". Minus the quotation marks, I would be alerted about every Evans, for example, on the Internet. Of course, if your name is common, you will sometimes be notified of other folks making headlines or news.

You can use names, social security numbers, your snail mail address, daughter's email address.

Can't figure out how to do this? Email us. We'll be happy to help you.
